Seed sowing for the season starts in ernest
We are now in full swing with our seed sowing for the year. This is for the Flowers which we use in our Jewellery. We also grow most of our vegetables, so these are also well under way. All our cold frames are now full (Time to make yet another one) so the overflow Usually ends up in the porch. We now wait patiently for “Jack in the Green” to work his magic.
Beautifull wild Primroses all around us
21st April 09 Our Honey Bees – Working our Pear Blossom
It’s good to see our bees out and about . Our two Hives seem to be off to a good start this year. We just keep hoping that the temperature stays high enough to give us a good “nectar flow” While the Whitethorn and Sycamore are in flower this year. The last two years we have missed our early honey crop due to a drop in temperature, just at the vital weeks. We still have a little left from last years main crop – but we do miss it if we run out.

Welcome to Meadow Miniatures

Welcome to our new blog!
Who We Are!
A family business established in 1980. Husband and wife, we enjoy our work sharing the pleasures of designing and creating our Pressed Flower Jewellery collections inspired by the natural beauty of the wonderful and abundant landscape surrounding us in the foothills of the Ox Mountains. W. B. Yeats "Land of Hearts Desire".
What We Do!
We combine nature's gift of real flowers, and sterling silver to create our unique range of hand made, real flower jewellery. Each piece is made with painstaking care. We grow the flowers, dry and press them and set them in designs in our workshop. The very small flowers are florets of Alyssum and the larger flowers are Verbena with cow parsley (Queen Anne's lace).

We attend exhibitions throughout Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. Our work can also been seen at a number of stockists and craft studios throughout Ireland and the UK.
We can supply our jewellery by mail order; telephone order, or by shopping online at this web site.
Where We AreTom’s Cottage, Spotfield, Bunnanadden, Ballymote, County Sligo. Nestled in a "Bee Busy Glade" in the foothills of the ox mountains. W. B. Yeats "Land of Hearts Desire". For more information please don't hesitate to.
